Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

How do I create a Pushnami Ads account?

Complete the new account creation form, then check your email to authenticate your account. Copy and paste your username and temporary password on the Sign In page, then create a new password with at least 8 characters, 1 number, and 1 special character.

What do I need to get started with my first campaign?

You'll need an active account with funds, a campaign with targeting and budget settings, and at least one creative with approved content.

How long does it take to get my campaign approved?

Our content review team typically reviews campaigns and creatives within 24-48 hours. You'll receive notification once your content is approved or if changes are needed.

Campaigns

What is the minimum bid I can set?

The minimum allowed bid is $0.10 per click.

Can I target specific geographic areas?

Yes, you can target by country. For US campaigns, you can also target by state.

What devices can I target?

You can target Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, or Other devices. The default setting is "All" devices.

Can I schedule my campaign to run at specific times?

Yes, you can set start and end dates, as well as specific days and hours when your campaign should be active. All times are in Central Time Zone (CST/GMT-6).

What does "Pending Creatives" status mean?

This means your campaign has been created but has no creatives attached to it yet. Add at least one creative to start running your campaign.

Why is my campaign showing "Frozen" status?

All campaigns are paused when there are billing issues with your account. Add funds or resolve payment issues to resume your campaigns.

What's the difference between pausing and archiving a campaign?

Pausing temporarily stops your campaign but keeps it readily available to resume. Archiving removes the campaign from your active list. Use this for campaigns you no longer plan to run.

Creatives

  • Icon: 192x192 pixels (square format)
  • Hero Image: 720x480 pixels (landscape format)

Images should be clear, high-quality, and avoid small text that won't be readable on mobile devices. See Image Best Practices for more details.

How many creatives can I add to a campaign?

You can add multiple creatives to a single campaign. This allows you to test different messages and images to see which performs best.

Why was my creative rejected?

Creatives are rejected when they violate our advertising policies. Check the rejection feedback for specific details and make the necessary changes before resubmitting.

Can I use dynamic content in my notifications?

Yes, you can use dynamic variables to personalize your creatives with:

  • Date/Time: Current date, day of week, month, year, time
  • Location: City, state, ZIP code
  • Device: Device type (Desktop, Mobile, etc.)

What happens if a dynamic variable doesn't have data?

You can include fallback text in your variable syntax. For example, {{=data.dcity||'Your Area'}} will show "Your Area" if the city data isn't available.

Billing & Payments

How do I add funds to my account?

Go to Payment Settings, activate your payment settings if needed, then use "Add Funds" to add money to your account balance.

What payment methods are accepted?

Pushnami Ads accepts major credit cards. You can add multiple payment methods to your account. We also accept Wire Transfer payments, see Billing for information.

What is auto-funding and how does it work?

Auto-funding automatically adds funds to your account when your balance falls below a threshold you set. This ensures your campaigns continue running without interruption.

What happens when my account balance gets low?

  • Yellow alert (below $99): Warning that you're at risk of running out of funds
  • Campaign pause (at $50 or below): Campaigns stop running until you add more funds

Can I get a refund for unused funds?

Contact support@pushnami.com to discuss refund options for unused account balance.

Performance & Analytics

What metrics can I track in the Analytics Dashboard?

You can track: Impressions, Clicks, CPC (Cost Per Click), Conversions, CPA (Cost Per Action), and Total Spent.

What time periods can I filter analytics by?

Available filters include: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, and Month to Date.

How do I track conversions?

Use the dynamic tracking values provided in your creative's destination URL. When a conversion occurs, postback the conversion data to Pushnami Ads. See Dynamic Values for Tracking for details on what data you can pass in tracking linkes and Conversion Tracking to learn how to set it up.

What is a Source ID?

A Source ID identifies the specific publisher website in the Pushnami network where your campaign is receiving traffic. You can automatically adjust bids for high-performing sources with Source Optimization or block underperforming ones through clicking the "Block" source button in the campaign page.

How do I improve my campaign performance?

  • Monitor Source IDs and increase bids on high-performing sources
  • Block sources that aren't generating conversions
  • Test multiple creatives to find the best messaging
  • Use compelling images and clear calls-to-action
  • Ensure your landing page matches your notification content

Technical & API

Is there an API available?

Yes, the Spend Report API allows you to retrieve detailed spend reporting data programmatically. Use your Pushnami Ads login credentials for authentication.

What date range can I query in the API?

You can query up to 32 days in the past. The start_date cannot be more than 32 days before today.

What timezone does Pushnami Ads use?

All dates and times use the America/Chicago timezone (Central Time).
